Busselton Jetty

On our way home from Dunsborough, we stopped off in Busselton to see their infamously long wooden jetty.  It stretches about 1.7 km out to sea! (for those who aren't familiar with kilometers, that's quite a long way!!)  It took us about 25 mins to walk all the way to the end!  Once you reach the end of the jetty, they've built a sort of "aquarium" that you can go down in to see all of the marine life that have made the jetty their home!  It was fascinatingly beautiful, SO colorful, and something we probably would've never been able to see otherwise - especially since we can't scuba dive and the water was freezing!

Look at how far out the jetty stretches into the ocean!  Now imagine that times 2 because it actually looks shorter than it really is!!

How cute is that?!

Better yet, how cute are we?!

Starting our hike to the end!  I didn't mind because the whole time I was just staring at how beautiful the water is!

There were loads of fishermen and people jumping off to go swimming - they must not be affected by cold water like us Texans!

Maybe when it's warmer we'll come back and play in this all-to-inviting water!

Our new friend, Mr. Blowfish!  He kept staring and smiling at us!  We were obviously friendly looking since he didn't puff up.  I wouldn't puff up either if I were a blowfish staring back and Tyson! :)

How neat that this jetty has provided a home for so many beautiful creatures!  Maybe Nemo lives here?!

A school of fishies just swimming away!  I also saw a bird swimming through the water trying to catch himself some breakfast!!!

After all that beauty, it's time to walk allll the way back to the shore!

Are you saying a blowfish doesn't find Tyson threatening??? What about the Mustache?
